Jessica Claire Chew, founder and owner of Wedrock Weddings contacted VA-SG in May 2015 with a need for a solution to the daunting tasks she faced as a one-woman show.

We worked together from the ground-up, by first helping her restructure her virtual office and systems workflow. I'm Jessica, a certified Singapore wedding planner and founder of Wedrock Weddings, which started in 2012. I've been in the events industry since I was 18 years old and have always wanted wedding planning to be my life's vocation and to make it affordable and accessible to more wedding couples in the 21st century.

Tell us why you chose to outsource particular tasks.
As the business grows, I find it very taxing to be a 'one-man show'. I knew eventually, I have to focus on my core value as a wedding planner and that is to service the wedding projects. I felt that certain administrative tasks should be delegated or outsourced to another individual so that I can dedicate my time, my focus and my energy to the tasks that truly require and utilise my expertise.
How did you find out about VA-SG?
I simply searched on Google - "virtual assistant Singapore" and found VA-SG. I remember that it was virtually the only option that seemed credible.
Why did you choose VA-SG over other companies?
Firstly, I don't believe in freelance VAs because I have tried that and it was horrible. I needed a company with VAs, team structure and a credible and professional approach. VA-SG gave me that impression.

It definitely helps! Time is extremely valuable and when my VA assists me, it means together, we generate more output in a lesser amount time with lesser strain on any individual due to division of labour.
How do you prefer communicating with your VA, and why?
WhatsApp is the best for me. At this day and age, who doesn't use WhatsApp? It is fast, convenient and free. It is often used on smart phones and so reaction time is faster too.

I would say the same things I would look for in a partner –

- Communicative (open, honest and timely communication is very important to me),
- Aptitude (aptitude is as important as attitude and it means that the VA needs to be competent and know how to be a good face of the company).
